I am pleased to have joined the NSW Fair Trading Strata Agent Business Leaders Forum on Tuesday, 28 October with NSW Strata & Property Services Commissioner Angus Abadee as facilitator.
With over 370 Class 1 Strata Managing Agents attending, the forum offered valuable insights, direct engagement with NSW Fair Trading’s leadership team and the opportunity to discuss some of the industry’s current challenges.
The sessions covered topics that impact how strata agencies work: ethical responsibilities, embedding strata reforms into day-to-day practice, trust account audit readiness and managing complex schemes.
I really valued the forum discussions around navigating complex schemes and mixed-use developments, especially the insights into governance challenges and the proposed reforms designed to address them. The sessions offered practical takeaways on issues shaping strata management today.
It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with industry colleagues, share perspectives and contribute to improving transparency across the sector.
We’ll continue to stay engaged and proactive, ensuring our clients benefit from the highest standards in strata management.
